Whole 30 BBQ Chicken

Whole 30 doesn’t have to be horrible. With a few small alterations, you can make a delicious meal that even those that aren’t on the diet will enjoy. Here is a recipe for Whole30 BBQ chicken with a homemade BBQ sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos (can substitute with tamari or soy sauce if not on Whole30)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon date paste (can substitute with honey if not on Whole30)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. If you don’t have date paste, you can use equal parts pitted/packed dates and warm water, using a food processor to blend it up into a fine paste.
  3. In a small saucepan, whisk together the tomato sauce, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, date paste, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5–10…
