Whole 30 BBQ Chicken

Whole 30 doesn’t have to be horrible. With a few small alterations, you can make a delicious meal that even those that aren’t on the diet will enjoy. Here is a recipe for Whole30 BBQ chicken with a homemade BBQ sauce:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos (can substitute with tamari or soy sauce if not on Whole30)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon date paste (can substitute with honey if not on Whole30)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- If you don’t have date paste, you can use equal parts pitted/packed dates and warm water, using a food processor to blend it up into a fine paste.
- In a small saucepan, whisk together the tomato sauce, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, date paste, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5–10…
