I’ve had family with dementia. It is such a hard disease for the caregivers. It is also hard to find people willing to fight for more research and investment. The people that are hit with the disease generally aren’t able to fight and the caregivers that witness how terrible it is have to work so hard. You see everyone gathering for cancer research but nobody for dementia. To some extent that is numbers at work but it also has to do with how debilitating and difficult dementia is to be around.
