I’ve been making my own bread for years and I never feel bad after eating it….even if I put butter and salt on it. With store bought bread I always feel bad. I’ve been using unbleached King Arthur bread flour which list hard red wheat as its source. I’m wondering if this is more about all the chemicals. I’m going to try to find some soft flour though and see how it turns out!!!
